When visiting Nairobi I highly recommend staying in "our neck of the woods",Langata. It really is the best place to get the diversity of Nairobi life.I enjoy socializing and cooking. Giving you tips on how to enjoy your trip will be my pleasure. Our family of three live in a gated estate where 24 hour security is provided for. We are a mere 5 minutes drive from the only National park within a city in Africa, "The Nairobi National park"and are surrounded by shopping malls, an Airport (Wilson Airport), world famous restaurants ( The Carnivore),the biggest slum in Africa(Kibera), a military Barracks and enough social outlets,not to forget a 10 minutes drive from the leafy suburbs of the posh Karen area! I have a double room available with TV, 24 hours WI-FI and cable, kitchenette and hot water shower round the clock. This room is semi detached from the main house and ensures total privacy, while at the same time allows for our guests to mingle freely with us is they so wish.The home is secure. Three generations of the family live here( we are three in the house), mother, daughter and grand daughter. our interests range from socializing, cooking, travelling, watching movies, reading, farming, gardening,and meeting new people.
