Largest and Best Lake Community!

Newer home (2024), good energy, always tidy, clean and peaceful. The neighbourhood is named Mahogany and is in the far SE quadrant of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and is the largest and most desirable private lake community in the city. Beautifully appointed private bedrooms with top-quality "Dormeo" brand queen-size or single mattresses that are so comfortable, that many guests don't want to leave lol. Living room and bonus room each with a large flat-screen TVs (bonus room with Xbox Kinetic, electric full size piano (with headphones), acoustic guitar, and compact exercise equipment) High speed wifi with desk in single bedroom and foldable desk in other bedrooms. There are air purifiers on each floor, and AC in bedrooms seasonally. There are private, full bathrooms (one with a shower/tub combo, the other with a large glass-walled shower) for 2 of the 3 guest rooms. Typically all 3 bedrooms do not get booked in the same time frame. This means typically you will have a private full bathroom, unless both rooms upstairs are booked at the same time, (and it’s never been an issue). We have our routines, cooking times, relaxing times and places to be in the week, so with communication and respect; it gets sorted. Autumn and I keep to ourselves, but we're also happy to chat and learn about where you’re from, take you grocery shopping when we go, have a BBQ, play a board game/chess, watch a movie, or include you in an outing like the local lake/beach, a few blocks away (free paddle boats and PDFs), skating on the lake in winter, (with fire pits, neighbour made hockey rinks and music along the way), skiing/snowboarding at our local Calgary hill, or in the Rockies, hiking etc. Bicycles are available for you (seasonally), and we have 22 km of paved pathways literally outside our front door including through a huge wetlands area in Mahogany that seems to go on forever and provide a dose of nature. These pathways will also connect you to the bordering communities, the South Health Campus hospital, Cineplex theatre, shops, gyms, grocery stores, cafes (such as Tim Horton's), fast food, fine dining, rooftop dining options, pubs, multiple playgrounds, art studios, spas, etc. The world's largest YMCA recreational facility is just down the pathway. It also includes a library, an Olympic-sized diving pool with viewing bleachers, a regulation-size hockey rink and games to watch for free, a public skating rink, a massive exercise area, an indoor rock climbing wall, a warm salt water public swimming pool with a lazy river, steam room, hot tub and water slides, and a wading pool area. About us: I'm working on a degree in Acupuncture with my doctorate in Traditional Chinese Medicine, so I commute to the NW on weekdays from Sept to July, and my daughter is in school Sept to June so if you want to commute with me, you can. The local Mahogany bus goes to the Somerset train station that runs to downtown (or the University etc in the north). My college is right beside Banff Trail C-train station if you would like a ride to that station. Then it's only 2 minutes by train to the UofC or SAIT. It's not necessary to rent a car. My We are native English speakers at home but enjoy learning other languages as I’m studying Mandarin and my daughter speaks Spanish. Please be respectful of the shared space in every way, turn off lights, cleanup after yourself, no foul language, and most of all “read the room”’. So far, with hosting almost 60 guests over 3 years, it’s been very good.
