If you’re looking for a quiet, budget-friendly place to recharge while trekking through Sri Lanka, welcome to our family home in Nilambe. We're located in a small, super safe village in the hills just outside Kandy—far enough from the city noise to get proper rest, but close enough to stay connected. It's just me, my wife, and our sweet baby living here on the property. We love hosting hikers and backpackers from all over the world, and we want you to feel completely at home while you stay with us. You'll have total freedom here—no strict host rules or weird curfews. Feel free to use the kitchen to whip up your own meals, kick back on the terrace with a fresh cup of local tea, or just hang out and dry your gear after a long day on the trails. If you’re here to hike, you're in the right spot! We are right near the early stages of the Pekoe Trail (around Hanthana, Galaha, and Loolkandura) with incredible mountain views all around. Since I know these hills inside and out, I always love taking our guests on free guided walking tours through the local village paths, hidden viewpoints, and tea estate trails that most tourists miss. Whether you need solid trail advice, a home-cooked meal, or just a peaceful place to rest up before your next hike, our door is always open. Hope to see you soon!
