Rural accommodation with 6 beds, available for full or room rental, located in Sierra Mágina (Pegalajar, Jaén). Enjoy the taste of the past in an old farmhouse, restored to offer a unique, relaxing, cozy experience surrounded by amenities. The recently restored house is a welcoming space, evocative of ancient times, unique in its own right. The old structure has been preserved but completely renovated using materials such as stone, wood, and metal to offer maximum comfort. It has been decorated with antique furniture, most of which we restored ourselves. Its thick walls help maintain a constant temperature, although we have technological support, with air conditioning and heating in all rooms.The living room has a fireplace, sofas, TV, video, Hi-Fi, and a dining area... You're sure to enjoy a pleasant after-dinner conversation by the fire! The plants and the mini-garden give the patio a fresh air, a perfect place to share good times. The scents of wet earth and vegetation relax and refresh summer nights. We currently have three double bedrooms (two with double beds and one with a queen-size bed), two bathrooms, one shared by two bedrooms (green and blue) and one integrated into one of them (attic). The total capacity is designed for six people. The village is a 5-minute walk away, where you will find all essential services: health center, pharmacy, church, bus stop, sports center, public swimming pool, supermarkets, shops, etc. In Pegalajar, you can visit "La Charca" (a reservoir in the center of town that has collected water from the source of the Fuente de la Reja since time immemorial), the old wash house, the church, built on the site of the old castle, which still preserves part of its walls and entrance (the Arch of the Incarnation), the hermitage, the orchards, and so on. In Sierra Mágina, there are a multitude of trails and mountain paths where you'll find magnificent landscapes, where you can enjoy nature, take photos, and find peace and quiet. What to do? • Go hiking, mountain biking (trails starting from the house), climbing (open climbing routes at 1,000 meters), and paragliding (the "Siete Pilillas" takeoff runway at 1,200 meters). Don't forget your camera; you'll take home breathtaking landscapes as a souvenir! • Enjoy tapas, traditional cuisine, and drinks in Pegalajar's bars, restaurants, and pubs. • Visit the village's olive oil mills to purchase our pure "extra virgin" olive oil firsthand and without intermediaries and see the production process. • Visit nearby cities: - Jaén (18 km) with its cathedral, old town, castle, museums, bars, etc. - Úbeda and Baeza (40 km), World Heritage cities. - Granada (80 km) - The villages of Sierra Mágina, with their unique characteristics and beauty: Cambil, Huelma, Bélmez de la Moraleda, Bedmar, Jimena, Torres, Albanchez de Mágina, etc. ENGLISH Located in Sierra Mágina (Pegalajar), Casa Rural offers a spectacular environment for people who want to enjoy a relaxing country getaway or hike some easy-to-challenge trails among the olive, almond, and pine trees in the surrounding mountains. This 300-year-old former farmer house has been perfectly restored with modern fittings and all necessities to provide the maximum comfort for the guests. It accommodates 6 people in 3 tastefully decorated bedrooms. The house, a former home for farmers, recently renovated to make an ultimately cozy space reminiscent of ancient times. We have respected the old structure, but completely refurbished for this purpose using materials like stone, wood and metal, while trying to attain the maximum comfort. We also decorated the house with antique furniture which were retouched mostly by ourselves. The thick walls of this stone house help maintain a stable temperature, although we have supported with new technology such as air conditioning and heating systems in all rooms, and hot water in all bathrooms.
