My husband and I have two young daughters, age 8 and 13 years old. We enjoy gardening, walks in the the neighborhood, and getting together with our extended family for any occasion. We live in a rural setting with lots of fruit trees and a mini homestead of a cat, dogs, chickens, roosters, and goats. Our guest unit available to guests has a small kitchenette (no stove) with microwave, toaster, coffee press, and electric kettle, and it’s own private bedroom and bathroom. We provide all utilities, beddings, towels, and wired internet. Currently, the unit is furnished with a queen size bed to accommodate up to two guests, but it can be modified to fit additional sleeping options depending guest preference and length of stay. We have a lovely single family home in Ojai, California, centrally located close to the downtown Ojai area, Lake Casitas, and Ventura beaches. Our property is within walking distance to major bus lines and trolley access for transportation to local eateries, markets, shops, laundromat, and a weekly farmer’s market in the Ojai town area.

House rulesMy husband and I do not have many rules for the home other than those that would be considered to be general common courtesies such as keeping the guest quarters neat, no smoking, and ensuring the gate is locked upon exiting or entering the property. We do not permit parties at the property, however, guests are allowed to have a couple of friends over for a few hours with prior permission. We do not allow guests to have others spend the night at the property. Of course, we expect that the guest will care for the unit during his/her stay and not damage the property in any way.
